Volunteer Information Center Donate to Volunteer Services

Due to the immense interest in our Gainesville VolunTEEN program, not all applicants who apply will be accepted. Our summer program has limited placement opportunities.

This program is only for UF Heath Gainesville. If interested in volunteering at BOB体育 Jacksonville, please call (904) 244-4271 or visit as that program is managed separately.

Please complete the VolunTEEN application process in the following order:

Completing the application will give you access to the Volunteer Information Center (VIC), required for step two.

Sign up for a mandatory information session by logging in to the Volunteer Information Center (VIC). All VolunTEEN applicants and one parent/guardian must attend this information session.

Step 3: Invitation to complete remaining requirements

After attending the information session, you will be invited to complete the remaining VolunTEEN application requirements. Details and additional information will be provided at the information session.

Acceptance

Acceptance into the Summer VolunTEEN Program is based on review of application, interview by the VolunTEEN selection panel, timely receipt of completed application packet, and the ability to meet volunteer requirements.

Important dates (tentative 2025)

These dates may change without notice. Applicants who do not complete mandatory steps by the deadlines are not eligible to move forward and will need to reapply for the following year鈥檚 program.

Jan. 2

  • Demographics form available online at 9 a.m.

Jan. 24

  • Demographics form closes at noon.

Jan. 29鈥�30

  • Mandatory information session from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm.
  • Information session spots are limited and fill up fast. We recommend completing an application and registering for an information session as soon as they are available.

Early March

  • Interview invitations sent to VolunTEEN applicant and parent.

Late March

  • Interviews

Mid-April

  • Acceptance emails sent to VolunTEEN applicant and parent.

Late April

  • Deadline to confirm acceptance is due.

Session dates

  • Session 1: June 9鈥揓uly 3 (Mandatory orientation June 6)
  • Session 2: July 7鈥揓uly 31 (Mandatory orientation July 3)
