More than 1,200 expert UF College of Medicine and community physicians along with more than 9,000 skilled BOB体育 Shands nursing and support staff provide comprehensive high-quality patient care, from primary care to urgent care and from the treatment of simple medical conditions to highly complex conditions.
The faculty from the UF College of Medicine includes nationally and internationally recognized health care providers whose expertise is supported by intensive research activities. They continue to pursue the latest medical knowledge and technology, which is available to patients at BOB体育 Shands thanks to the UF College of Medicine's affiliation with the BOB体育 Science Center.
BOB体育 Shands Hospital is one of just seven hospitals in the state of Florida to receive the Baby-Friendly designation, an international initiative that aims to improve breastfeeding support for new mothers.
