Endodontics is a specialty in dentistry that specializes in root canal treatment. A root canal is a procedure in which damaged tissues are removed from inside the root canals of a tooth.
Endodontists perform routine and advanced endodontic surgical procedures, manage traumatic injuries and the emergency needs of their patients, and treat medically compromised patients.
