My bio
Hi there! I'm Maria Rademacher, a physical therapist at BOB体育. Holding with a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Florida and a bachelor of science in athletic training from the University of Vermont, I bring a unique blend of expertise to my practice.
As a sports certified specialist and an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, I specialize in treating a range of sports-related injuries, including ACL reconstruction, knee arthroscopy, shoulder instability and more. My background as a certified athletic trainer, coupled with three years of experience working in a hospital system and with a local high school, has equipped me with invaluable insights into athlete care and rehabilitation.
My journey into physical therapy was fueled by a desire to provide more personalized care to injured athletes. While working as an athletic trainer, I discovered my passion for helping athletes recover and return to play safely. Transitioning to physical therapy allowed me to dedicate more time to each individual, leveraging my experience to excel in sports and post-operative rehabilitation鈥攖he areas I find most fulfilling.
Having been a multi-sport athlete myself, competing in soccer, basketball and lacrosse, I understand firsthand the drive and determination it takes to return to sport after injury. I bring this competitive spirit to my approach, tailoring rehabilitation programs to bring out the athlete in each patient. In addition, I am also completing a research project titled 鈥淩eturn to sport testing after upper extremity injury in overhead athletes,鈥 which is Institutional Review Board approved and currently in data collection.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I enjoy taking long walks and exploring new places with my dog. Hailing from Vermont, I'm proud to be the first person in my family to earn both a bachelor's and a doctorate degree, a testament to my dedication to education and helping others achieve their goals.
