My name is Kaitlin M. Nicholson, MD, and I am a gynecologic oncologist with the BOBÌåÓý Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. My interest in oncology started in adolescence, watching my father battle with lymphedema after cancer treatment. Years later, he developed a secondary cancer resulting in an above-the-knee amputation. The medical complexity of oncology and the strong, humanistic connections between my father and his providers captivated my interest. My affinity for oncology grew exponentially during medical school, which I completed in 2017 at the Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee. My dedication to women’s health was also reinforced, and I entered an OBGYN residency with the intention of becoming a gynecologic oncologist. I completed this residency in 2021 at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell at South Shore University Hospital in New York.

At BOBÌåÓý, I am dedicated to providing the highest quality of care, collaborating with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan that optimizes outcomes and fits their lifestyle and needs. Patients are the North Star of my practice, and I will consistently do my best to provide patient-centered, evidence-based care.

I value empowering women through education to improve their treatment and overall care, and I am dedicated to making cancer care more accessible and cost-effective. I hope to further improve the field of gynecologic oncology through research initiatives and medical education. I am cultivating my research interests in hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, financial toxicity in cancer care, and quality improvement initiatives.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking and backpacking, relaxing at the beach with a good book, and traveling (especially to Italy). I am a passionate foodie and am always looking for a good restaurant recommendation!
