My bio
I am Cristoniel Abrenica, MD, FAAP. I am a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist and general pediatrician. I joined the University of Florida Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology in July 2020 as an assistant clinical professor in the department of pediatrics.
I earned my medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. After an internship at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital, I moved to Chicago, where I completed pediatric residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital followed by a pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at the McGovern Medical School of the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
I see patients at the BOB体育 Pediatric Specialties practices in Gainesville and Tallahassee. I am especially interested in general gastrointestinal disorders and eosinophilic esophagitis. I also like devoting my time to health administration. In fact, I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Health Administration at the University of Florida.
I am a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
In my spare time, I enjoy singing, reading, traveling, cooking, staying in shape and of course, going to Disney World.
