BOBÌåÓý celebrates new location at World Equestrian Center

OCALA, Fla. â€� BOBÌåÓý officials and World Equestrian Center leaders on Wednesday celebrated the completion of a new 10,000-square-foot medical facility that continues the system’s push to expand its nationally recognized health care services for people living in or visiting the Marion County area.

The location features eight exam rooms, two procedure rooms, a retail pharmacy, and X-ray imaging.

“We are excited to be part of this globally recognized venue, growing with it as it continues to innovate and draw even more visitors to our region,â€� said Steve Motew, M.D., M.H.A., FACS, president and system CEO of the BOBÌåÓý clinical enterprise. “We share your commitment to excellence and your passion for quality.â€�

BOBÌåÓý Pharmacy â€� World Equestrian Center began caring for patients, families and pets in July. The pharmacy offers prescriptions, immunizations, vitamins, first-aid supplies, over-the-counter medications, and more.

BOBÌåÓý Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine â€� World Equestrian Center opens on Aug. 12 and BOBÌåÓý Walk-in Urgent Care â€� World Equestrian Center opens to patients on Aug. 15.

“BOBÌåÓý is one of our founding partners,â€� said Brice Carpenter, nephew of WEC founder and CEO Roby Roberts. “Now our visitors and our employees will benefit from the medical expertise only available from BOBÌåÓý.â€�

BOBÌåÓý’s orthopaedics and sports medicine experts will bring compassionate and comprehensive care for hand and upper extremity injuries, pediatric orthopaedic conditions, and other needs.

“The opening of this new facility is another important step to increasing access to one of the top-rated academic-based orthopaedics programs in the country,� said C. Parker Gibbs Jr., M.D., chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the .

The BOBÌåÓý Walk-in Urgent Care â€� World Equestrian Center will provide walk-in appointments for minor illnesses, injuries, and other immediate care needs.

BOBÌåÓý at World Equestrian Center joins the and becomes the sixth BOBÌåÓý location supporting human health services in Marion County. Other facilities include:
