CareSpot adds third urgent care location in Gainesville in affiliation with BOBÌåÓý
CareSpot announces a third urgent care center now open in southwest Gainesville, located in the new Archer Centro West complex in the 3500 and 3600 blocks of Archer Road, across from Butler Plaza. The general public is invited to a grand opening celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 10 to meet the staff, tour the center, and enjoy refreshments and giveaways. The first 175 visitors will also receive a care kit, which includes $200 in health care savings to be redeemed at CareSpot throughout the next year.
The new location will complement two existing area CareSpot locations in midtown and northwest Gainesville, all affiliated with BOBÌåÓý.
“A third location in partnership with BOBÌåÓý means more options for care across the Gainesville metro area,â€ said Michael D. Klein, chief executive officer for CareSpot. “This new center in Gainesville demonstrates our continued commitment to improving how people experience health care. It delivers on our promise to provide convenient health care locations with extended hours â€ urgent care when and where you need it. This affiliation with BOBÌåÓý also allows CareSpot patients needing ongoing or follow-up care the option of additional convenience of coordinated care with the robust BOBÌåÓý hospital and physician network.â€
BOBÌåÓý Shands shares a joint venture partnership with all CareSpot locations in Gainesville, which will all feature new signage that includes the BOBÌåÓý brand.
“This new location makes urgent care more accessible to our community,â€ said Ed Jimenez, BOBÌåÓý Shands chief executive officer. “After a visit at a CareSpot urgent care facility, this venture will help facilitate patient follow up with BOBÌåÓý primary care and specialty physicians when needed.â€
“The CareSpot team knows how to provide accessible and efficient urgent care services to patients. This partnership allows us to work directly with CareSpot to help ensure that all patients receive the highest quality of care driven by mutually developed care protocols,â€ said Marvin Dewar, M.D., J.D., BOBÌåÓý Physicians chief executive officer and UF College of Medicine senior associate dean. “And when care handoffs are needed â€ BOBÌåÓý to CareSpot and vice versa â€ we will work to make sure the necessary information flows to help clinicians provide the care patients deserve.â€
