The BOB体育 Sports Performance Center offers a variety of testing methods and techniques to optimize your health, including recovery from injury and meeting fitness goals. We welcome people of all ages and lifestyles to come in and learn more about their personal fitness to enhance overall movement and health.
Sport motion & gait analysis
Using leading-edge 3D motion-capture technology and real-time feedback, we analyze how you move, identifying areas for improvement and risk to optimize performance and prevent injury. Our markerless system provides more efficient testing with minimal setup.
- What we measure: Motion symmetry, joint angles, body rotation, and movement timing.
- Testing time: 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on individual goals
- Cost: $300 (includes motion analysis, video review, consultation, and a personalized report comparing your movement to elite athletes).
- What to wear/bring: Form-fitting athletic wear (spandex shorts and/or jog bra for women, tank tops for all), athletic shoes with ankle-length socks. No lotion, cleats, or loose hair鈥攎arkers must be visible.
36-Point Physical Function Test Screen
This advanced movement assessment looks at how your body functions in 36 different movements, including flexibility, balance, coordination and dynamic activities. Using a high-tech, markerless motion analysis system, we evaluate key areas including shoulders, spine, hips, knees and ankles to identify both risk and improvement opportunities. Your joint mobility and performance scores are then compared to a global database. Many of our professional athlete populations utilize this system including powerlifters, CrossFit athletes, runners, baseball, soccer and football players, and golfers. This screen is also helpful for those looking to optimize their personal fitness or return to activties after injury.
- What we measure: Upper and lower body motion patterns, dynamic movement control, joint alignment, weight shift during loading movement, stability and postural sway, areas for improvement and injury prevention.
- Cost: $250 for full service which includes a full customized report and exercise recommendations based on your sport and fitness goals.
- What to wear/bring: Form-fitting athletic wear and athletic shoes.
Aerobic fitness testing (VO2max)
The VO2Max test measures your breathing through applied aerobic activity, on a treadmill or bike, to assess endurance, optimize training zones, and track fitness progress. It can also help identify potential health risks, improve athletic performance, and create personalized training plans with measurable results via repeat testing.
- What we measure: Peak aerobic fitness, endurance limits, heart activity, and fuel usage
- Testing time: 1.5 hours is blocked out
- Cost: $150 for a full VO2 test and $200 for a full VO2 with blood lactate. The Lactate Threshold test measures blood lactate levels to identify the point where your body shifts from aerobic to anaerobic energy use, helping determine optimal training zones for improved endurance and performance
- Repeat testing is provided for a reduced fee.
Body composition and metabolic rate
Tracking body composition and metabolic rate is essential for monitoring fitness, nutrition, recovery, and lifestyle changes. BOB体育 Sports Performance Center offers BODPOD, skinfold, and resting metabolic rate tests to assess energy use and fuel metabolism.
BODPOD test
Your body fat mass and fat free mass are measured using the BOD POD庐 device. Resting metabolic rate is an optional component of every body composition test.
- What we measure: Body composition and body fat percentage
- Testing time: 1.5 hours is blocked out
- Cost: $60 for first scan
- Repeat testing $40 each session
- FREE for children under 18 and weighing at least 55 pounds
- What to wear/bring: Swimsuit, spandex shorts and/or jog bra (for women) or undergarments. Testing occurs in a private room.
Skinfold test
Providers use research-grade calipers to pinch skinfolds on the chest, axilla, tricep, scapula, hip, abdomen, and thigh to measure subcutaneous fat thickness.
- What we measure: Body fat percentage
- Testing time: 15 minutes
- Cost: $20.

Metabolic rate
Testing your metabolic rate can help you set goals for weight loss or weight management (gain or maintenance). Your resting metabolic rate (RMR) will be determined while lying in a private laboratory room. You will breathe into a mask connected to the metabolic analyzer. A series of measures will be collected from the air you breathe during the 30-minute period.
- What we measure: How many calories you burn at rest, what profile of fat and carbohydrates you use for energy, and your rate of oxygen use during the average day
- Testing time: 45 minutes to an hour
- Cost: $60
- Test Prep: No caffeine 24 hours prior, must be fasting for 8 hours prior
- What to wear/bring: Dress comfortably
Additional tests and services include the Wingate test with lactate to measure muscle performance and endurance capabilities ($40), strength testing on clinical strength machines ($50), and personalized consultations for exercise, nutrition, injury prevention, and weight management ($210).
