Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Description Developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Univ. of Mass Medical center, MBSR is a self-care education program appropriate for anyone seeking evidence-based tools for coping with lifes daily or extraordinary stressful conditions. Highly respected within the medical community, MBSR is proven effective as a complement to the traditional treatment of anxiety, stress, depression, grief, fatigue, pain, chronic illness, eating disturbances, and sleep problems.

This course offers 23 CEs for LMHCs, LMFTs and LCSWs.

Fundamental Practices of MBSR: Mindfulness meditation Introductory mindful yoga Group dialogue Daily home practice assignments

Course Details: Next course is October 4th November 29th, 2017 A Day of Mindfulness at Gainesville Retreat Center on Saturday, February 18. Offered two times annually $265 - advanced registration is required Course manual & audio CD are provided Full-day retreat attendance is required
