Description
Offered by the , the CTSI Design Studio is an opportunity for UF investigators to informally discuss their translational research ideas and questions with biostatistics faculty members. By providing free, informal and early access to biostatistics experts, the studio aims to help investigators save time and strengthen their study designs and results.
The studio is offered every other month at no charge and lunch is provided. Any UF investigator is invited to attend to discuss new study proposals, ideas for data analysis, or a statistical or data analysis topic of interest. Each studio features a topical presentation and is limited to 12 attendees to ensure participants benefit from one-on-one time with a biostatistician.
The next studio will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 2161 North and South of the Clinical and Translational Research Building. It will feature a presentation by Dr. Yueh-Yun Chi titled Power AnalysisThe What, Why and How. A 15-minute Q&A session on the topic of power analysis and sample size determination will follow.
