Title -Secretase and -Secretase Inhition Cause Retinal Pathology: A Cautionary Tale in the Treatment of Alzheimers Disease
Presented by Michael Boulton, Ph.D. University of Florida
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conslusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
Define the function of - and y-secretase. Define the role of - and y-secretase in the retina. Recognize the retinal pathology associated with inhibition of - and y-secretase. Identify cellular mechanisms by which secretase inhibition leads to retinal pathology.
