Dorothy Hagmajer joined the BOB体育 staff in October 2019 as a science writer covering the Congenital Heart Center and the Department of Surgery in the College of Medicine. Previously, she taught Multimedia Writing, a core class in the UF College of Journalism, and wrote for a number of UF institutions including the College of Engineering and UF Research. Prior to that, after completing her degree in public relations, she worked as a research coordinator for the STEM Translational Center, facilitating research for an R01 regarding an interactive patient consent platform and analyzing data from community wellness initiatives. Her graduate work focused on the role of supportive communication among perioperative nurses. In spite of Florida鈥檚 humidity, she enjoys running and gardening in her spare time.
